Voltaren Patch - Effective pain relief. Clinically proven

Voltaren Patch is clinically proven to provide effective pain relief. It contains 140mg diclofenac sodium, an NSAID active ingredient which is continuously and constantly released throughout 24 hours at the site of pain. Hence, only one patch application per day is required.

Patented technology* – learn how it works?

Voltaren Patch is designed with Patented Technology* which allows the 24h continuous and constant release of a potent anti-inflammatory agent - diclofenac sodium. The medicated plaster has 3 layers: the first is a support layer (non-woven fabric), the second is a pressure sensitive adhesive layer (which contains the active ingredient - diclofenac sodium) and the last third is a mono-silicone coated protective layer.

The 24-hour medicated patches are ultra-thin, flexible and soft. Comfortable to wear, they are discreet when placed at the site of pain.

Voltaren Patch is indicated for the local symptomatic short term* treatment of pain in acute strains, sprains or bruises of the extremities following blunt trauma.

    In a clinical study, with 214 eligible patients, Voltaren 140 mg diclofenac sodium medicated patch applied once a day*, had a greater mean Visual Analog Scale (VAS) reduction for resting pain between baseline and day 4 than placebo (-17.65 vs -11.32 mm). No serious adverse events (SAEs) were reported.

    The PSA matrix, in which the active ingredient (diclofenac sodium) is dispersed, contains a studied and specific combination of neutral polymers based on ethyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate in a 2:1 ratio (Eudragit R 40D) and optimised for a continuous, constant and prolonged duration of the active ingredient in 24 hours.

    Targeted pain relief, where it is needed most

    Unlike pills, the Voltaren patch is applied at the point of pain. The active ingredient, sodium diclofenac, reaches deep into the tissue by direction penetration exposure.

    Instead of only masking pain, the active ingredient in diclofenac sodium 140 mg patch relieves it by targeting one of its main sources, inflammation.
